SPORTEC 2014Record breaking attendance at Sportec 2014 was highlighted by Think Fitness’s presentation of the Nautilus, Schwinn, and Stairmaster brands.

Mr. Gregory Zink, CEO of NGJ Brand Solutions, the master licensee for the 3 brands in Japan said, “Think Fitness’s specially trained Sportec Team, assisted by TV, yoga and fitness personality, Waka Yogi and her “Carbon Blues”, combined to make visiting the Think Fitness booth a truly memorable experience”.  Mr. Zink added “Sportec was the ideal venue for industry personnel, from upper management to instructors, to understand what we mean when we speak to our exciting brand integration platform”.

Shortly after Core Fitness’s acquisition of Nautilus in July, 2014, Mr. Dustin Grosz, Stairmaster’s CEO said, “Combining the iconic Nautilus brand, world-renowned products, and programs with the strong educational foundation of Schwinn Indoor Cycling, and the innovative lineup of StairMaster products positions us as a clear leader in providing integrated fitness, sports and wellness solutions.”

SPORTEC 2014“That is our plan for Japan”, added Mr. Kimitane Sohma, NGJ’s President. “In the Japanese way of thinking, brand integration means much more than just products.  As an example, Schwinn indoor cycling combines state of the art cycling technology with a global team of Schwinn certified Instructors. Therefore we can empower our customers to offer products, training and service packages that have been implemented and tested on a global basis. “Mr. Sohma continues, “thus our strategy to utilize the success of Sportec 2014 as the first Japanese demonstration of the power of combining the Nautilus, Schwinn and Stairmaster brands”.

Mr. Sohma added “Another key part of our strategy includes leaders from other vertical industry segments, such as yoga TV personality, Waka Yogi.  Waka, who led her team of Carbon Blues (named for Schwinn’s premiere indoor cycling technology) said, “This is our second Sportec and the large crowds made for an exciting three days. We very much enjoyed helping people of all ages try Stairmaster cardio as well as Schwinn and Nautilus.  We appreciated how patiently people waited in line to try these products. ”

Waka added, “Many people were familiar with the Nautilus Academy but were very surprised when we discussed Schwinn Certification and Education and the number of certified instructors from all over the world.  It was very exciting to see how quickly many women understood they could both shape their bodies and improve their posture with the combination of Nautilus, Schwinn, and Stairmaster products and programs.  We are really looking forward to Sportec 2015 in July,” Waka concluded.
